Nestled in a peaceful village, LiliAna offers comfort and privacy

Villa LiliAna is located in Foli, a small Istrian village with a long history. The name LiliAna combines the names of our mothers, who inspired our values, curiosity, and appreciation for travel and everyday beauty. The house was created by merging two old stone houses and a barn, carefully renovated to preserve its original character. The project was led by Vedran, a human resources professional, and Zorislav, an architect. Combining our expertise, we designed a comfortable space that reflects the essence of Istria.

While Foli has a few holiday homes, it remains a residential area where locals live year-round. Respecting the neighbors and their way of life is essential, and we ask our guests to do the same by maintaining privacy and keeping noise levels appropriate. The local community is not only part of the surroundings but also a valuable support system for us and our guests.
 
Istria has a rich history dating back to ancient times, with influences from the Romans, Venetians, Austro-Hungarians, and Slavs. As a crossroads of cultures and nations, it reflects a unique blend of architectural styles, traditions, and languages. The region is also known for its excellent cuisine, fine wines, and some of the world’s best olive oils. Known for its openness and tolerance, Istria embraces diversity, making it a harmonious region where different cultural influences coexist.
