This house is more than just a place to rest – it is a story woven into its walls, a collection of memories, and an homage to travel. Created out of a love for discovering new cultures, every corner holds a tale, a reminder of distant lands and the beauty of local artistry.
Within its spaces, art and craftsmanship, tradition and eclecticism come together. The handcrafted terracotta tile floor reflects the skill of local artisans, while ceilings made of reclaimed wooden beams now live a new life, bringing history into a contemporary setting.
Wooden doors and paneling speak of meticulous attention to detail, while works by Croatian artists adorning the walls invite guests to experience the spirit of local culture.
The courtyard – or as it is called here, korta – is designed in the spirit of traditional Istrian stone homes. Covered with rizla, a type of crushed stone that has long been used in Istrian courtyards, it provides both an authentic and a pleasant sensation underfoot.
The carefully selected greenery – native plant species characteristic of the region – offers shade, Mediterranean scents, and a natural harmony that enhances the experience of staying here.
